Frequently asked questions

The questions the front desk is asked most often, answered here so you do not have to call to find out. If yours is not below, call either clinic. Nobody will push you to book before you have an answer.

Booking

Booking and your first visit

How do I book an appointment?

Book online and you will be taken to our booking system, which is on a separate site from this one. You can also call either clinic and the front desk will book you in, or send an enquiry through the contact page if you would rather be called back. Whichever you use, say which clinic you want, Malleshwaram and MEI Layout, because they are booked separately.

Do I need a doctor's referral?

No. You can book directly with a physiotherapist in India without a referral. If your assessment suggests you need medical investigation or another specialist, we will tell you and point you in the right direction rather than treating around it.

What should I bring or wear?

Comfortable clothing that allows the affected area to be examined and moved, shorts for a knee or hip problem, a vest or loose top for a shoulder or neck problem. Bring any relevant scans or reports if you have them, though they are not required.

Can I choose which clinic I go to?

Yes. Every service is available at both clinics, so choose whichever of the two is easier for you to reach. The clinics are Malleshwaram and MEI Layout, and the contact page has the address, phone number and directions for each.

The clinics

Visiting us

When are you open?

Monday – Saturday 9 AM – 9 PM · Sunday & public holidays 10 AM – 5 PM. The hours are the same at both clinics.

What languages do you speak?

English, Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, at both clinics.

Can I see the same clinician every visit?

Yes. You are assigned a clinician at your assessment, based on your condition, and stay with them through your course of treatment at either clinic.

Treatment

How treatment works

Will the treatment be painful?

It should not be. Some hands-on techniques feel firm, and it is common to be a little sore for a day afterwards, particularly after the first session. Nothing should be so painful that you have to brace through it. Say so if it is, and it will be adjusted.

How long will treatment take?

How long each session takes and how many you need is decided at your assessment, not before it. It depends on what is causing the problem and how long you have had it. You will be given an estimate after the first visit rather than asked to buy a package in advance.

How soon will I feel better?

Many people notice some change within the first two or three sessions, though a lasting result usually depends on the exercise programme as much as on the treatment. How long the problem has already been present is the biggest single factor. Your therapist will give you a realistic estimate after assessing you.

Do you treat my condition?

The conditions section lists what we see most often, from back and neck pain to sports injuries and joint problems, and each page says what the assessment looks at. If your problem is not listed, call either clinic and ask before you book. The front desk will tell you if it is not something we treat.

Two questions we cannot answer here yet

Fees and insurance cover are not published on this site. Both are confirmed with you when your appointment is made, and the front desk at either clinic will tell you before you book. We would rather say that than publish a figure that turns out not to apply to you.

Questions about a specific problem are answered on the page for that condition, and questions about a specific treatment on the page for that service. Start from conditions we treat or our services .
