Sports Injury Assessment & Screening

Finding what keeps causing the injury, rather than treating it again.

No referral needed · One-to-one throughout · Available at both clinics

Draft, awaiting clinical review

The copy on this page is written and is waiting on clinical sign-off. It carries noindex and stays out of the sitemap until a clinician reviews it and a review date is recorded, which is what makes the medical statements on it attributable.

A structured assessment of how you move, where your strength and control are lacking, and what in your training or mechanics is likely contributing to injury.

It is used two ways: before a season, to establish a baseline and identify what to work on, and after a recurring problem, to find why it keeps coming back.

Honest framing. Screening identifies things worth addressing. It does not predict injury reliably, and no screening protocol has been shown to. What it gives you is a clearer picture of your own limitations and a plan to work on them.

Who it helps

You keep getting injured in the same way. You are starting a season and want a baseline. You are increasing training load and want to know your weak points. Or you are returning from injury and want to know what is still missing.

Conditions we treat with this

Relevant across all sports injuries, see the Conditions section.

How it works

  1. History. Training load, injury history, and what your sport demands.
  2. Movement screening. How you squat, hop, land, change direction, and control single-leg tasks.
  3. Strength and asymmetry testing. Objective measures, side to side. See Athlete Testing Lab.
  4. Sport-specific assessment. The particular demands of what you do.
  5. A written plan. What to work on, in what order, with what exercises.

What to expect

Wear training kit and bring your sports shoes. The session is active, expect to move, hop, land and be tested rather than to lie on a plinth.

You leave with a written report of what was found and a programme addressing it.

Why Le Yantra for this

  • Objective testing rather than eyeballing movement
  • A written report you can share with a coach
  • Direct progression into Strength & Conditioning if you want it supervised
  • Team screening available for clubs and squads

Frequently asked questions

Will this stop me getting injured?

No, and anyone claiming otherwise is overstating what screening does. What it does is identify limitations worth addressing, which is worth doing on its own terms.

How often should I do it?

Once at the start of a season is common, and again after any significant injury.

Can my whole team be screened?

Yes. Get in touch about squad screening.
