Draft, awaiting clinical review

The copy on this page is written and is waiting on clinical sign-off. It carries noindex and stays out of the sitemap until a clinician reviews it and a review date is recorded, which is what makes the medical statements on it attributable.

Focused soft tissue treatment for people who train: massage, myofascial work and trigger point techniques applied to the areas your sport loads most.

Delivered here by physiotherapists, which means it sits inside a clinical picture. If the assessment finds something that needs treating rather than massaging, you will be told.

Who it helps

You train regularly and carry persistent tightness. You are in a heavy block or approaching competition. You want maintenance work between harder sessions. Or soft tissue work is part of a treatment plan you are already on.

Conditions we treat with this

Used alongside treatment for Hamstring Strain, Achilles Tendinopathy, Shin Splints, Lower Back Pain.

How it works

  1. Brief assessment. Training load, symptoms and what you want from the session.
  2. Treatment. Focused soft tissue work on the relevant areas.
  3. A clinical view. If something needs assessing rather than massaging, we say so.

What to expect

Wear or bring clothing that allows access to the areas being treated. The work can be firm but should not be something you brace through, say so if it is.

Some soreness for a day afterwards is normal.

Why Le Yantra for this

Frequently asked questions

Is this the same as a spa massage?

No. It is targeted soft tissue treatment for a training or clinical purpose, delivered by a physiotherapist.

Will it hurt?

It can be firm. It should not be painful enough that you have to tense against it.

How often?

Depends on your training. During a heavy block, regularly; otherwise as needed.
