Neck Pain
Several different problems produce similar-feeling neck pain. Working out which one you have is what determines the treatment.

An adjustment is a controlled, quick, low-amplitude movement applied to a joint, usually spinal. It is used where assessment finds a restricted joint contributing to pain or limited movement. The audible click that sometimes accompanies it is gas released within the joint and is not itself the point.
Used here as one technique among several, alongside soft tissue work and exercise. Adjustment can reduce pain and improve movement in the short term; the lasting change generally comes from what follows it.
Scope. Adjustment is used for musculoskeletal problems, joint restriction, spinal pain, limited movement. It is not a treatment for conditions outside the musculoskeletal system, and we do not claim otherwise.
You have neck or back pain with joint restriction found on assessment. You have stiffness limiting movement. Or manual therapy has helped you previously.
Adjustment is not suitable in the presence of osteoporosis, fracture, spinal instability, inflammatory arthritis affecting the spine, infection, tumour, or certain vascular conditions. Nor where a nerve is significantly compromised.
This is not a complete list, which is why suitability is decided at assessment rather than at booking.
Neck Pain, Lower Back Pain, Spondylosis, Cervicogenic Headache.
You may hear a click. It is not painful, though the position can feel unusual briefly. Mild soreness for a day afterwards is common.
If you would rather not have adjustment, say so, there are other ways to treat joint restriction and you will not be pressed.
What it is used for
Generated from the condition pages themselves, so this list and the treatments named on each of those pages are always the same list read from two directions.

Before you book
No. It is gas releasing within the joint fluid. Joints are not going "out" and being put back, that framing is inaccurate.
It is done after assessment and screening. Serious complications are rare but the screening exists for a reason, which is why suitability is not assumed.
No. Ongoing maintenance adjustment is not something we recommend or sell.
We use it for musculoskeletal problems. Claims beyond that are not ones we make.
