Ankle Sprain
twisted ankle
A ligament injury that heals faster than the balance and control it takes away. That gap is why sprains recur.
Sports Injury & Recovery pillar
The structured work between "it stopped hurting" and "I am ready to play."

Draft, awaiting clinical review
The copy on this page is written and is waiting on clinical sign-off. It carries
noindex and stays out of the sitemap until a clinician reviews it and a review
date is recorded, which is what makes the medical statements on it attributable.
Rehabilitation is the phase after symptoms settle and before return to sport. It rebuilds the strength, power, speed and control the injury took away, in stages, with testing at each one.
Most reinjuries happen because this phase was cut short. Pain settles well before tissue capacity returns, and the gap between feeling ready and being ready is where the problem sits.
You have been treated for an injury and now need to get back properly. You have had surgery and finished the early phase. Or you have returned before and been reinjured, and want to do it differently.
ACL Tear & Knee Ligament Injury, Hamstring Strain, Meniscus Tear, Ankle Sprain, Rotator Cuff Injury, Achilles Tendinopathy.
These sessions are training, not treatment. Bring kit and expect to work.
Progress is measured at each stage, and you move on when you meet the criteria rather than after a set number of weeks. Some people move quickly; others need longer, and being told that honestly is more useful than being cleared early.
What it is used for
Generated from the condition pages themselves, so this list and the treatments named on each of those pages are always the same list read from two directions.
twisted ankle
A ligament injury that heals faster than the balance and control it takes away. That gap is why sprains recur.
pulled hamstring
A tear at the back of the thigh, with one of the highest reinjury rates in sport. Strength at long muscle lengths is what changes that.
Before you book
Because pain settles well before the tissue can handle sport. That gap is where most reinjuries happen.
Sports physiotherapy covers assessment and treatment. Rehabilitation is the loading phase that follows. Most people need both, in sequence.
Then we tell you, and we work on what is missing. That is the point of testing.
